Surrender and release to the healing vibrations of sound and the support of guided meditation and restorative yoga.

We will explore and form a deeper connection with the 8 limbs of yoga & the chakra energy systems. You will be guided through yin-like movements and set up in a series of supported restorative poses while receiving the sounds of ancient crystal & Tibetan bowls. These crystal and Tibetan bowls are tuned to each specific chakra frequency. Singing bowls create balance in our bodies, especially within the Chakra energy system (light/energy centers within the body). Restorative yoga is designed to relax and restore the body and mind. The power of sound can be best received when in a relaxed and meditative state, such as restorative yoga. Throughout the guided meditation, we will feel and become deeply connected with the true disciplines of the yogic lifestyle, though it’s 8 limbs, along with a body scan to create a balance of the chakra energy systems within us. With the support of a chakra-tuned sound bath, we will fully melt into mother earth and feel the full support of gravity while we ground and let go with restorative and yin yoga.

8 limbs of yoga: Yama (morals), Niyama (duties), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breathe), Pratyahara (sensory withdrawal), Dharana (focus), Dhyana (meditation), Samadhi (Bliss).

1) Root Chakra (Muladhara) represents grounding and survival,

2) Sacral Chakra (Svadisthana) represents pleasure, emotional balance, and sexuality,

3) Navel Chakra (Manipura) represents communication, creativity, truth,

4) Heart Chakra (Anahata) represents unconditional love, acceptance, compassion, and intuitiveness,

5) Throat Chakra (Vishudha) is about communication, creativity, truth,

Your guides:

Holly: While studying Medical Anthropology and Sociology at the Univ. of Florida, Holly started an Acro Yoga club with the mission to help promote healthy socializing through yoga. Aspiring to spread genuine human connection Holly moved to San Francisco and became trained to teach trauma-informed yoga to at-risk, marginalized populations and is now teaching yoga and dynamic mindfulness for The Art of Yoga Project and Niroga Institute in the Bay Area. Holly believes yoga is a lifestyle and brings it with her wherever she goes and loves having the opportunity to see others share this sacred practice.

Maryzelle: Maryzelle’s first love was the drums and from then on, she had been in numerous bands as a drummer and has toured throughout the country as a rock & roll, psychedelic, and ambient musician. She studied percussion, audio engineering, and sound therapy at Mills college. While studying music in college, she also received her 200 HR training as a yoga teacher and has worked hands-on as the college’s yoga assistant. From there, she truly bloomed into her love of healing through music and movement. Along with banging the drums and evolving spiritually, she tapped into her divine goddess mission as a sound therapist. Over the past couple years, she has been hosting and creating sound baths with crystal quartz bowls, Tibetan bowls, electric guitars, African drums, gongs, electronics, bells, whistles, divinity, and love.
